Shoulder Injuries: You must contact your physician for advice about exercise and how it relates to your injury prior to continuing. The program automatically eliminates all primary shoulder exercises. A primary shoulder exercise is any exercise specifically for the shoulder musculature. For Example: Shoulder Press would be eliminated.

A secondary shoulder exercise is any exercise that involves the shoulder joint and associated musculature but is not specifically a shoulder exercise. For Example: Biceps Curls. It is important to modify the secondary shoulder exercises to ensure that your shoulder does not become more severely injured.

Helpful Tips:

  • You must contact your physician or health care professional for instruction on how to modify your exercises to decrease pain in your shoulder. Diagnosis of your shoulder problem to determine the exact cause of your pain is necessary.
  • Keep the exercises pain free.
  • Use decreased weight
  • Do not work through bad pain. Bad pain is any sharp shooting pain that you have when you are exercising. Your body is sending you a signal to stop what you are doing and modify your activity to eliminate the bad pain.
